It is with great sadness that I have to announce the planned closure of Luton Christian Bookshop.

The Religious Book Depot opened in Reginald Street in 1946 and the has been a continuous resource of Christian Literature in Luton for the past 77 years. However, since re-opening after the Covid lockdown, we have been losing over £1000 a month. We therefore plan an orderly closure before our financial resources run dry.

However, if any person or organisation has a realistic rescue plan that complies with Charity Commission Rules or feels they can volunteer for one full day a week, I would love to hear from you - john@lutonchristianbookcentre.co.uk

Final shop closure is planned for 29th February 2024.

We are open Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm and on Saturdays 9.30am to 2.30pm. We are closed on Mondays.

We have a selection of Christian films to suit all ages.

We hold a limited stock of music hymn books, both word and music editions. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements and church discounts.

We carry a wide range of Christian music CD's. Whether you're looking for quiet reflective music or the latest worship CD, you're bound to find something to suit your taste.

We have a wide range of gifts to suite all pockets and ages. Our stock is regularly updated, so there is always something new to find. Why not call in and have a tea or coffee while you browse through our gift collection.

Whether it’s teaching material for children, teenagers or adults you’re looking for, you’ll find everything you need in our shop. We have a wide range of teaching resources including children’s bible stories, children’s fiction, colouring and activities, seasonal material and group Bible study.

We carry a full range of christian literature including such subjects as christian devotion, prayer and poetry, mission and biography, christian leadership, youth resources and christian living. Come and visit our shop to view the full range that we have available.

We carry an extensive range of Bibles, all competitively priced. This includes different translations and styles to suit all ages. To compliment our Bibles, we also carry a wide range of Bible commentaries and study material. In the unlikely event that you can’t find what your looking for, we should be able to order what you need.

Here, at the Luton Christian Book Shop, we pride ourselves on our personal service with every customer. While you’re browsing around our extensive range of christian material, why not indulge yourself with a tea or coffee in our cafe area. We have a range of beverages to suit your taste.

Luton Christian Book Shop was launched in February 2004 as a result of the merger of the former Crusader Book Centre and Hightown Christian Books. It is based in a purpose-built 1,300 sq ft area of Kestin House, national headquarters of Urban Saints (previously known as the Crusaders). The shop serves the local community and an increasing area in Beds and Herts.

Our vision is to forge closer links with all churches in Luton and the surrounding area, to focus on the needs of our customers and provide a range of Christian books, music, resources and cards to meet their needs.

There is free parking for customers in front of Kestin House.
